A Complete Water Filter System for Your Backpack
Everything you need is already included. Every component works perfectly together to collect, filter and safely store water.
How It Works
Contaminated Water
Depending on the situation, you can use the water filter in three different ways.
Drink directly from rivers, lakes or other water sources. Your natural suction pulls the water through the filter, without batteries or pumps.
Alternatively, you can screw the filter onto almost any standard 28 mm water bottle and enjoy clean drinking water on the go.
Or connect the filter to the included water bag and simply squeeze the water through the filter.
Whichever method you choose, water filtration starts immediately.
Microfiltration
Inside the filter is a hollow fiber membrane with 0.1-micron pores.
As you drink, the water is pushed through these tiny pores, which act as a physical barrier.
Bacteria, parasites and dirt particles are too large to pass through the 0.1-micron pores.
Only clean water molecules make it through the filter.
Filtered out, among others:
- E. coli
- Giardia
- Cryptosporidium
- Microplastics
- Sediment and dirt particles
All of these contaminants are reliably held back by the fine pores of the hollow fiber membrane.
Contaminants Are Held Back
As soon as bacteria, parasites and dirt particles reach the membrane, they get stuck on the outside of the hollow fibers.
They can neither pass through the micro-pores nor travel back against the direction of flow.
All harmful contaminants stay safely trapped inside the filter.
Only the purified water flows on to the mouthpiece.
Clean Drinking Water
The purified water reaches you through the mouthpiece the moment you drink.
No waiting. No batteries. No charging. No replacement filters.
Safe drinking water at any time, even during power outages or emergencies.
The entire filter works using nothing but your natural suction.

- Filaments
- Plastic particles larger than 0.1 microns
Why it matters: Microplastics are now detected in a large share of natural water sources.
Organic Contaminants
Reliably filters out natural organic suspended matter.
- Plant residue
- Algae
- Organic particles
- Decaying plant material
- Biological residue
Why it matters: Reduces organic contamination and improves water quality.
Inorganic Sediments
Removed from the water mechanically.
- Sand
- Silt
- Clay particles
- Rust particles
- Dirt and soil residue
Why it matters: These substances are found in almost every natural water source.
Turbidity & Visible Contaminants
Reduces cloudiness and improves water clarity.
- Turbidity
- Fine suspended particles
- Dirt particles
- Visible contaminants
Why it matters: Clearer water means cleaner, more pleasant drinking water.
Biological Contaminants Larger Than 0.1 Microns
Captures a wide range of biological contaminants.
- Worm eggs
- Larvae
- Nematodes (roundworms)
- Bacterial clusters
- Biological particles and residue
Why it matters: Natural water sources can contain numerous invisible biological contaminants, which are reliably held back.
What Our Customers Say
Clean Drinking Water When Nothing Else Worked
After a severe storm, we were without power for days. Shortly afterwards there were problems with the water supply, and bottled water sold out in the supermarkets within a few hours.
Luckily, we had two HYDRO-X10 water filters at home. That meant we could safely drink water from a nearby stream. While others were desperately searching for drinking water, we were prepared.
Finally Prepared for an Emergency
I have to be honest: for three years I told myself I'd sort out an emergency supply "next month."
Then, after a water main break, we were advised to boil tap water before drinking it, and we were not prepared at all.
My husband had to keep boiling water just so we could cook and brush our teeth.
I ordered the HYDRO-X10 that same day.
Today, one is in the car and two more are at home. Luckily, we haven't had to use them since. But just knowing that we're prepared helps me sleep much more peacefully.
The Best Decision for Our Family
During a long power outage in winter, we suddenly had neither working Wi-Fi nor a reliable water supply.
Luckily, I already had the HYDRO-X10 in the car. With it, we could safely filter water from a nearby stream. Our two kids didn't even notice how serious the situation really was.
Looking back, it was one of the best purchases we've ever made. I hope we never need it again. But if we do, we're prepared.
FAQ
?Why do I need a water filter if I can just boil water?
Boiling does work, but in emergencies or on the go it's often impractical. You need fuel, time (at least 10 minutes), a heat source and a suitable container – things that are often unavailable in an emergency.
With the HYDRO-X10, you get clean drinking water instantly – no preparation or waiting time. Boiling also doesn't remove dirt particles, microplastics or sediment. The HYDRO-X10 reliably filters these contaminants out of the water.
?What does the 0.1-micron filtration remove?
The 0.1-micron hollow fiber membrane reliably filters out:
- 99.999999% of bacteria (e.g. E. coli, Salmonella, cholera, typhoid)
- 99.999% of parasites (e.g. Giardia, Cryptosporidium and amoebas)
- 99.999% of microplastics
- Dirt, sediment and turbidity
- With the activated carbon stage, also chlorine as well as unpleasant odors and tastes
?Can the filter expire if I just store it in my emergency backpack?
No. As long as the HYDRO-X10 is stored dry, it has no expiration date.
You can keep it in your emergency backpack, car or at home for years and use it right away whenever you need it.
Important: If the filter has already been used, it should dry completely before storage to prevent mold.
?How many filters do I need for my family?
We recommend keeping one filter for each family member, plus at least one spare filter.
- Minimum: 1 filter per person
- Optimal: 2 filters per person – so you always have a spare and several people can filter water at the same time.
?Can children use the HYDRO-X10?
Yes. Children from about 5 years old can usually use the HYDRO-X10 without any problems.
For younger children, we recommend the included squeeze bag. It lets you fill filtered water directly into a drinking bottle or cup, so the child doesn't have to drink through the filter themselves.
?I live in a city – do I even need a filter like this?
Especially in cities, many people depend entirely on the public water supply. If it fails due to power outages, burst pipes, floods or other emergencies, there's often no quick alternative.
With the HYDRO-X10, you can safely treat water from natural sources such as streams, lakes or rivers and stay independent, even in unexpected situations.
?How do I clean and maintain the filter?
To keep the filter working reliably, it should be backflushed regularly – roughly every 100–200 liters or as soon as the water flow slows down.
- Fill the included syringe with clean, filtered water.
- Attach it to the outlet of the filter.
- Push the water forcefully through the filter 3–5 times against the normal direction of flow.
- This flushes out trapped particles and restores filter performance.
After use, shake out any excess water and let the filter dry completely before storing it. This keeps it hygienic and ready to use for a long time.
With all the natural disasters, power outages and other unpredictable events these days, it simply makes sense to be prepared. If the public water supply ever fails or becomes contaminated, you have a solution right at hand. The water filter is also perfect for hiking, camping or outdoor adventures. I now have one in the car, one in my emergency backpack and one at home.
I bought the filter as an addition to my emergency gear. Luckily, I haven't had to use it yet, but the many positive reviews convinced me. You really get a lot for the price. Hopefully I'll never need it – but it's reassuring to know it's ready to use at any time.
A great addition to our emergency gear. Of course we hope we'll never need it, but it's small, lightweight and contains everything you need. That's exactly how an emergency product should be.
The filter came neatly packaged and the instructions were easy to understand. I ordered several right away – one for the car and one for home. If there's ever a power outage or a disruption to the water supply, I'm prepared.
I'm really glad I bought this portable water filter. It's perfect for emergencies, camping and outdoor trips. Thanks to its compact size, it fits easily into a backpack or even a jacket pocket. It's super easy to use, and you can safely filter water on the go at any time. A product you hopefully never need – but in an emergency it's priceless.
This little water filter is a really useful gift. It's compact, lightweight and makes sure you always have clean drinking water on the go or in an emergency – even when there's no bottle available.
